Eleftheria Stoikou lives and works in the city of Thessaloniki, Northern Greece. She studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts. She continued her postgraduate studies by means of her scholarship with the Melina Mercouri Foundation after having excelled at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, her thesis being “Public Art and Public Space Renovation”. She is a holder of a Master’s degree in Graphic Arts and Multimedia, EAP, a graduate of the University of Patras. She has taken part in numerous group exhibitions in Greece (Thessaloniki, Athens, Volos, Veroia) and abroad (Barcelona, Turin, in the Biennale of Young Artists of the Mediterranean - Rijeka). She has also been awarded with various distinctions and she has taken part in workshops (Yiannis Kounelis in Turin and with the sculptor Dani Caravan in Barcelona). She held 8 “solo” exhibitions in Thessaloniki, Athens, Barcelona, Istanbul) . Ms Stoikou is a Lecturer in Department of Technological Educational Institute of Central Macedonia, Clothing, Design and Technology. She also teaches Art at Mandoulides Schools.
